Newsletter for May 16th

The school year is almost finished and there is a lot going on prior to the year end.  I have listed the dates and events below.  If there anything to be added, I will advise you all as soon as I am aware.

Friday, May 17 is a regular school day!

Grade 5-7 Jouvence (Message from Ms. Blinn)

Last week a paper was sent home with each student regarding deposits due for the trip to Jouvence (June 12-13th). If you did not receive it, please ask your child or your child’s teacher about it. Deposits are due before May 17th. If there are any issues with payment, please be sure to contact your child’s homeroom teacher and they will be happy to accommodate you. The deadline of the 17th must be respected or your child may not be able to attend the outing. Students are receiving a Health Form on Monday (to be filled in and returned by May 17th) as well as a suggested list of items to bring on the trip.

Volunteer Appreciation – May 23 @ 1 :50 pm:

We look forward to celebrating our volunteers.  If you have received an invitation but have not confirmed your attendance yet, please do so as soon as possible by calling me at 450-248-2090.

End of Year Concert – May 30 @ 6 :45 pm:

The doors will open at 6:30 pm.  Your child needs to be dressed in dark pants and a white top (band t-shirt if they are band members).  The entrance is free however we will happily accept monetary donations!  Money raised will go towards the purchase of next year’s band uniform (shirt).    We hope to see you there!!

Report Cards:

Report cards will be available on the parent portal as of June 26.   If you are having trouble logging in to the parent portal or have not as yet ever been able to access your child’s report on-line, please call me after June 26 to set up an appointment to see me and I will happily go over the steps to show you how to do it.   It is really important that we get you set up now so that next year you have access to your child’s dossier on-line.  Almost all correspondence to parents/families is done on-line now.  Please make sure the school always has your current email address or else the on-line services will not work.

Supply Lists and School Fees for 2019-2020:

The list of supplies that you will need to buy for your child and school fee amounts  will be sent to you electronically around the same time as the report cards, so please be on the lookout for these emails.  Statement of accounts will only be available once daycare registrations have been verified and confirmed when we return to school in August  since this affects whether or not you pay a supervision fee.

First Day of School 2019-2020:

Thursday, August 29 is the first day of school for 2019-2020.
